Music
writing
Music is my first love and it’ll be my last.
Over the course of my career so far, I have been a regular columnist at renowned publication gal-dem and curated their Five On It feature. Later reimagined as gal-dem selects, I covered topical music news and standout releases with an op-ed edge and cherry-picked new tracks of the week.
Starting as a contributor, I transitioned to a New Music Editor and, later, a Features Editor at independent tastemakers The Line of Best Fit.
I have been commissioned by the likes of British GQ, Clash, Loud and Quiet, Music Week, NME, and Ticketmaster, and have written artist biographies for Sony Australia, Universal Denmark, Grönland Records as well as for independent artists.
The highlight of my life is Sean Paul telling me his mum had to school him on the difference between PSY and Sia.
For gal-dem, I wrote op-ed news, interviews and reported features on artists from marginalised backgrounds
